Hi, I’m Lynsey, and welcome to my hypnotherapy page.
I understand how hard it can be to reach out for help, especially when life already feels overwhelming and you’re not sure where to turn. Finding the right therapist can feel like another big decision at a time when you’re already stretched.
I offer a free consultation, so we can meet, have a chat, and see if I’m the right fit for you. There’s no pressure, just a calm, supportive space to talk about what’s going on and how I can help.
I work with people who are struggling with things like anxiety, low confidence, and feeling stuck, helping them move forward in a way that feels manageable and realistic. We take things step by step, with you always in control.
I’m fully qualified with a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DFSH), trained at CPHT, and I’m a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH). I’m also DBS checked, fully insured, and GDPR registered—so you can feel confident you’re in safe hands.
Whether you prefer face-to-face sessions or the convenience of online support from your own home, I offer both options to suit you. I work from my cosy therapy room in Knottingley, West Yorkshire, where you’ll find a calm, welcoming space designed to help you feel comfortable and at ease from the moment you arrive.

Is hypnotherapy safe?
Yes, hypnotherapy is safe. It is considered a natural and therapeutic alternative to address stress related conditions.
Whilst in a hypnotic state, clients are in a deep relaxation and heightened focus to facilitate positive change, but remain aware of their surroundings, and remain in control at all times. Clients can hear, talk and come out of relaxation any time if they wish to do so.
Is hypnotherapy like what I see in a pub on a Saturday night or tv for entertainment purposes?
No! Solution focused hypnotherapy is nothing like what you see on television or in a pub on a Saturday night.
I cannot make you do anything you don't want to do. I cannot make you bark like a dog or cluck like a chicken. You won't tell me all your deep dark secrets and there won't be a pocket watch in sight.
Throughout the hypnosis, you can choose to keep your eyes open if you wish, although many clients find it more relaxing to close their eyes. I will read a series of language patterns which are aimed to access both the conscious and subconscious mind as they come together in focus. This makes hypnosis a powerful tool for fostering positive change, whilst addressing issues such as anxiety, phobias, improving habits such as smoking/vaping, and even weight loss.

When in a car, your hypnotherapist is the passenger in the front seat, while you are the driver behind the wheel.
A passenger offers support and guidance with reading the map and providing directions.
However, it is up to you to choose which turns you’ll make and ultimately determine the direction you take!
